Kroner -AMV-, People have different aspirations and goals, some craves for subscriptions and others might want to get better. The part that worries me, since those who have more subs will get the most coverage, so it will affects the mindset of most new editors who decided to join in to chase after views rather than self improvement. In the end, it becomes a never-ending vicious circle, and it is hard to convince someone to change their views when dishing out tons of videos in a week can gain them a constant subs rate on sites.

Maybe the situation will get better if experienced and good editors can get more exposure to public, either through contests or tutorials. Not trying to sound pessimistic, but from my point of view, it is not getting better any time soon. But well, I am keeping my fingers crossed and hoping the future will be better. (a﹏a) Oh, and congrats on winning editor of the year!

pieandbeer, well I mean, there might be new editors out there, but for what I've experienced they're only interested in subs/views ecc ecc, so they keep moving from one social media to the other and doing what we call instagram vids cause they're more popular. The biggest issue is that we're like dinousaurs to them most of the times so it's really hard to create a bond or to generate interest, at least this is what I've experienced so far trying to understand a bit this other amv world. Glad to see you're optimistic and you found different feedbacks from mine ^^

at least on the US side, a lot of younger editors are either youtube only or making instagram vids and not getting exposed to the videos in the VCAs/the community in general. its unfortunate that youtube's algorithm legit fucked up amvs because you need to be pumping out multiple vids a week to get any sort of presence. so there's like this big community of younger editors but they're making quick 1-2 episode vids and not interacting with experienced editors. I think the issue is improving though. the r/amv subreddit is directing people here and to the org/amvcentral and i've met a lot of newer editors on twitter who are active with the community. so i'm optimistic!

Ооокей, все таки вникнув в происходящее, я все еще негодую.
Про кон узнал ровно только что (а значит отдельное спасибо номинировавшей меня персоне, кто бы это ни был). Спасибо всем ниже отписавшемся, всегда приятно читать подобное.
А что касается резалтов... если с акшоном я еще могу как-то согласиться, то вот с клипом года... это как-то ужасно спорно. Более уместными там кажутся la la land или roxxane.
В любом случае, оч приятно, спасибо )

особая благодарность фрейму и его баннеру (который, наверно, и оказался ключом к победе)

well, this means 2 things for me:
1) the editors age is overall pretty high and it seems to be like we're getting old without anyone taking our place....sad point
2) we still have the ability to be touched by something simple but really powerful in terms of emotions. My 2007 was a real roller coeaster to me and I'm super happy it won best vid

congrats to the winners! i'm so happy MY2007 won video of the year i legit cheered when i saw the results it's such a good vid +A+ also super glad other people saw what an editing behemoth Kroner has become. i feel like leolide was a bit snubbed because he had an amazing year but overall i'm super happy with the results!
