О проведении AKROSS Con 2015

У меня возник только один вопрос - кому в голову вообще пришла такая, прости-господи "мысль", отменить Акросс ?

Назовите это имя(имена), а то лень весь флуд по сабжу перечитывать.

To be honest do you really believe the contest would be cancelled just so? Anyway with the announcement of the registration you should be doing fine for now. We're expecting a lot of participation this year. If you really want to support the contest, participate.

Draga, this year Akross was already announced. So you can enter it. Registration will start at 10th of October.

I've been editing for 4 years and I never made a serious project but when i finally decide to send something to the akross it's canceled...WTF?! Am I Cursed ?

Seriously, the Akross is without a doubt the best contest out there, maybe the level is decreasing but who cares ? It happens with everything, there are some good periods and some bad ones.Things will change, there are a lot of New editors with a lot of potential, we will get our awesome content back again.

I hope there will be a kind of a miracle so that it won't be canceled, and I also hope that this won't happen in the next years...

gorz so are you saying big contest is a threat to akross? specifically that it's getting bigger and attracting better competitors? lol sorry if i misread but for me idk, that seems unlikely. i ain't saying this based on any memorable evidence but i honestly do think it's the lack of quality in akross entries. no "special" amvs anymore. or i might just be confusing evilspider's opinions with mine.

either way everyone. contests don't matter bros. look at pencilhead, a masterpiece that qwaqa guy made for no contest at all. follow his role. you only get 2000 roubles in these contests anyway lol

ehh I just cant understand how will shorter amount of time help to do better vids, Spider already moved the dl in 2013, so there were 9 months for AC amv vs 3 months for BC, now its at least 8vs4, thx God (i.e. Turbo)

DEAR GOD, THE DIAGNOSIS SHOWS THAT AKROSS HAS CANCER, AND IT IS IN STAGE 2. THE MEDICAL TERM FOR IT IS KNOWN AS "BIG CONTEST", IT IS STARBUCKS TRENTA BIG, AND HAS BEEN SPREADING IT CANCEROUS CELLS SINCE 2012, SINCE BIG BUDGET PRIZES BECOMES A THING, JUST AS ALPACINO SAID IN DEVIL'S ADVOCATE "Vanity is my favorite sin".

Akross in my eyes still holding the torch for being the best contest around, quality oriented, staff oriented, diversity oriented and value oriented. Sure the contest as a whole recieved a couple of blows recenty, AS IT ALWAYS HAD. but the real issue here is definitely not what been shed a light on from the previous comments. The real issue that many fail to see, is, and without a doubt, the rapid growth of BIG CONTEST, for it being just right the corner. that is now forming a large tumor, which feeds on all the essential nutritions to keep a stabilized, strong and healthy system, it sucks on all the vitamines like a black hole. I apologize for this unhealthy image I am portraying BIG CONTEST with, not to vilify it. That is not my intention. But rather to simplify the situation and reflect it as it is.

Solutions?
- Turbo and Evil Spider need a head to head conversation that leads to an agreement of having a 6 months span between the two contests. ""OH AND JAPAN EXPO?!!" Who cares! these two are online contests, and the three are in a very different league.
- AKross need to cut the crap and man up. The contest still has its "elites", so step up your game or you will be replaced. Stop being passive. You don't receive good videos, you GIVE the opportunity to the community to witness GREAT videos. See? It's very simple. That is your purpose and never settle for less. Make the day counts, and atract the right people.

Не согласие, в чем именно? Какие у меня есть на то основания? Какие есть факты, на которые я должен ссылаться. Это уже подразумевает большого количества информации и самое главное это компетенция в том вопросе, в котором ты хочешь подискутировать.
И что за “попробуй”? Мне это так надо? Я же пришел на конкурс не пальцы гнуть и не ставить ультимативные условия, на которых у меня само собой никаких прав нет (как моральных, так и юридических).
Если есть вопросы в которых мы расходимся ок, тока не надо из этого создавать конфликт.

yeah lol we don't need Akross anymore. when my No Sympathy AMV didn't win the contest, let alone not even make it to the finals, we all know Akross Con's days were numbered.

Don't blame the Russian contest organisers. It is us English-speaking YouTube editors who came into their house and ruined everything for them. Akross doesn't have a problem with attracting competitors, it can do that. It has been doing that lol. The real problem is, it's attracted too many editors now (from YouTube etc) and all you see in Akross Con now is low quality garbage. For the past 2 or so years there haven't been amvs like past winners (except for my No Sympathy AMV).

So yeah, it's not a problem of not having enough participants. EvilSpider is probably demotivated because you don't see any good AMVs on the level that they used to be

Да Паук весьма строг к правилам и что это как-то мешает пониманию (поговорить, обсудить)? Понимаю, что можно было чисто по-человечески закрыть глаза, ну тогда надо уже и на все закрывать глаза. Сделал А сделай и Б. Я тока не понял, почему надо было подобную тематику обсуждать не в личке, а сразу рваться на форум, непонятно.
И никто там Кайла не травил, просто высказались, что думают по этому поводу. Это у тебя какое-то сильное чувство восприятия связанное тока с Акроссом?

Не надо вырывать слова из контекста. Это видимо “любовь” такая. То есть уже простое мнение на банальные темы надо выставить в негативном свете.
Я тоже считаю голосование финалистов более ценным. Ну, нравиться народу этот или иной клип ну ради бога. Оно тоже важно для автора как поддержка. Но добиться результат среди авторов, это куда более сложная задача. И в то же время более значимое достижение. Что тут Паук не так сказал? Давайте тогда мнение на ютубе считать большем достижением.

А, это где Кайла прокатили из-за пары лишних мегабайт и потом компанией травили, а про Ньюс админ пишет: «Клип вошёл в число призёров AKROSS Con 2013, что, на мой взгляд, куда более весомое достижение, чем признание зрителей засекреченного сайта, "который тут нельзя упоминать"». Ну как тут не поддержать.

Well the promotion could have helped. However, this post has just made a negative impact on the contest. From the international perspective that is. Good luck to the organisers.

What would our say change? The AKROSS staff most likely already know where the faults of the decline are. Change the website interface to be friendlier if you must; or consider using social media websites to promote it more aggresively instead. Make the contest modern, attractive for editors once again (prizes, any kind of benefits etc), and quality entries won't fail to show up :/

I can't even efficiently use the link shared because everything is in Russian, which obviously won't attract the international audience or make them want to be involved.
