Spike's Own Little World

Howdy ya'll. I spent several weeks on this project. I wanted to do something that no other has done. I wanted to do original 2d, hand-drawn animation, and so I did. Each frame took roughly two hours to do. There are I believe 13 unique frames. U do the math. But of course the work does not stop at drawing 13 unique frames. Much work was put into the composition of the background and the animation. Every day I would go into my prog and loop the animation.

Moving away from the technical stuff, the concept is very creative, I believe. As you can see I have put it in the story, character profile, dance, drama and psychedelic categories. Let me explain why this video is put into them. Story: it is very implicit, like my n*gga Shakespeare's work, but it is about Spike trying to escape his past and live freely in his new world. Character Profile: It is about one character by the name Spike Spiegel. Dance: He is dancing to dance music, thus a dance amv. Drama: The existence of drama is somewhat based off of the story--escaping a troubled past by living in your own world is indeed drama...internal, mental drama. Psychedelic: well, a neverending loop is always psychedelic--also the invert effect somewhere in the beginning really gives off the psychedelic feel.

To conclude this essay, I believe the main reason for the fall of Tsardom in Russia between the years 1881-1917 was because of-oh wait...to conclude, I hope everyone enjoys this video and appreciates the hard work and dedication I put into attempting animation for the first time, just for my AMVNews special.
