Synopsis:
An odyssey through time where the surrounding events are dependent on Takaki for world progression.
Editor’s Remarks:
I acknowledge that the concept of time travelling and very similar works do exist and comparisons will be made, but what I have tried to attempt differently is to explore the character development of Takaki more than the time travelling part. Novocaine is a drug used as a local anaesthetic. It can be referred to a pain killer. It eliminates the pain but the damage is there. The song is symbolic referring to the events that have made the protagonist immune to pain. The events may have become the natural part of his life but they have permanently damaged his soul beyond recovery. Time being cruel also eliminates his only messiah Akari as the continuity requires her to die.
Concluding; This is the 2nd installment in the Nerv verse with iliad being the first, I hope you enjoy this.
P.S. : Special Thanks to my kid brother who made me the poster for this.

I loved the concept and the storytelling. Explaining such story in an AMV is quite challenging but you've done it well enough.
All the tracking and effects used are imo pretty much flawless, I liked almost all of them. And the overall mood of the amv with the song worked very well. I also think the character you've chosen is great, Takaki has exactly the right feel.
However there are some of the events which you've chosen that I don't think fit well with the "world progression" concept, especially towards the end. For example death of Kobe Bryant or the fires in Australia.
Also the romance felt kinda forced and didn't really help much with the character development, I would have preffered the AMV without it.
Overall great AMV, I really liked it!
You haven't seen 5 Centimeters? No way!
First of all: I liked it! I like the concept, the progression, the atmosphere and how you placed events. Also I really like the anime source choice, when I was SURE it was squeezed like a lemon you used it for something original that, imo, fit a lot with your purpose.
In term of visuals it has also cool ideas so it was interesting. I had no problem at all understanding the concept, and I saw it at 5.00 amv when I woke up completely stoned.
On the more technical side there were issues that bother me a bit but I'm sure that for those who didn't catch the story at first were really relevant.
1) the aspect rateo: why??? Totally fine with the 2.35:1 format but this is like 2.67:1 which made me confused
2) clocks placement: there are issues in the positiong of some on them that were quite obvious
3) the "love story" was a bit distracting, it's not bad, not at all, but it opens to different solutions that can distract the viewer to understand the main theme, but I can relate to the need to show more things in a single vid so it's not a big issue to me.
In general you could add scenes were the character was phisically there to make the concept more solid (for example on the bridge during the hiroshima impact), i would ask for more direct interaction too but the anime hasn't this kind of clips I guess
In general it's one of the vids I've enjoyed the most so far, this is a very personal thought, but we can say it suits my taste and I appreciate how it was "built", the narration structure was really good to me, BIG GG
How is he affecting on the world progression? All I can see – he is walking... smoking... what an epic story.
Also am I to understand that he killed Hitler (and I suppose he is responsible for the WWII), set the fire in Australia, told Truman that dropping the bomb would be the good idea... all was produced by Takaki? That's cute.
