I know guys don't really like pure action much, but I have the most fun editing when I focus purely on sync. I am still going to always do my drama and sentimental videos but not as much :) I appreciate all the genuine feedback though, it means a lot!

I had a feeling this was not going to be very liked. As I mentioned in the description, it is very unfinished. I did maybe half of what the original plan for this video was, but several friends of mine wanted me to upload the video so I did ^^. I just felt I should explain why it feels so empty. A lot more was suppose to be here, but sometimes projects break.

I really appreciate the concern you and Lion have . I am not very sensitive though so even if a video is personal and people don't like it, it doesn't ever bother me. I understand there will always be videos I make people like and dislike. That being said, I am really happy that the people who have enjoyed the video so far have enjoyed it. I also always appreciate feedback on my videos, both positive and negative.

I apologize if you believe this video is wasting my abilities ^^. I tend to edit what I feel like editing with some of them having a strong goal or purpose in mind and others to just have fun and not think of anything. If I only edited videos I believed others would find highly appealing I just wouldn't enjoy the process. I hope some of my future projects leave you less disappointed though :) Thank you for sharing your thoughts!

I'm sorry if this one was disappointing for you guys ^^ I may create a more structured video with this show at some point in the future, but I really just wanted to make a kind of mindless action video showing off the animation xP. I didn't really expect it to ever get put on this site xD.

Sorry guys xD. Not going to lie, this wasn't really meant to be put anywhere other than my channel, hence why there wasn't a download link on the YouTube video. It's just some garbage I made in a couple hours to take a break from working on a big project xP. I don't really care someone submitted the video, but I felt obligated to say it was just some dumb shit I did as a break. xD

IKR? I hate videos with really solid sync as well :/ I have no idea why anyone would edit a video with the song as the main focus.

There are some parts, like the first minuteish, that are really strong, but this video definitely has a lot of balance issues going on. It doesn't seem to know if it wants to be a more abstract and artistic video, or a montage of one show to the next for a long time. For example, for the first minute, it was a lot of different shows, then at around :58 it is just Monogatari for 30 seconds before it switches back to changing the shows a lot at 1:28, and the second half is almost all Yuri Kuma. It is definitely decent overall, but this problem really distracts me from really getting into the mood. I just really feel like the editors should have really stuck to a way of approaching this theme.

Mystyk said pretty much my opinion on it. I went and watched the original music video, and the reason the effect works really well there is because it is being constantly changed up a bit, and there's still a lot going on. Honestly, the effect only feels about half way done, that image is increased due to the fact some of the masks aren't clean. The lighting is also out of place most of the time, and, as I mentioned a bit before, the backgrounds really need more stuff going on in them. Trying different angles would have been really neat as well. THAT BEING SAID, I feel like you could take some of what you tested out in this video, and potentially improve it in future works, and come up with something really cool

I'm going to give some brutal honesty here... If you submit your own video to AMVnews, you need to be prepared for the criticism, which you obviously weren't. Just because someone doesn't like your video does not automatically mean it is because they don't "get" it, it means they don't like it. I personally love the original Pokemon rap, but this falls REALLY flat as a parody. Why? Because the anime character choices were not NEARLY as varied as they should have been, for example, a million free characters for different water Pokemon, and just with the whole realm of anime, many of these were definitely not the most creative or best choices. Another big issue, is there are so many scenes where the characters are doing literally nothing. It almost feels like you picked the first scenes that kind of felt like the scenes from the original Pokemon rap instead of finding the ones that would actually be the most effective. Yes, you did win at a lot of contests because this is a video that excels at audience vote, which is a good thing, but at the same time, excelling at con audience votes does not mean fellow editors will automatically like it, nor does it mean it is solid from a critical editing standpoint. There are different types of contests and different types of videos considered "good" to different crowds. Instead of complaining about how people just don't "get" your video, you should accept that not everyone will like it and move on, and even take their criticisms into consideration as this video could have been done a lot better. Originally I was not going to post because this video is clearly made with a lot of love and passion, and I can respect that, but you really need to learn to take criticism if you put your video in a position where you KNOW you are probably going to receive it, such as submitting it on this site.

Gonna do a follow up comment on my previous one, my opinion on the video remains the same, BUT I do think you can definitely make some cool stuff in the future. The editing in the video is pretty nicely done, it is just the idea is not really yours, which you recognize. I am excited for amvs you make in the future that are of your own ideas and such because I could see you making some really cool things. Especially since you seem to show desire to make original content in the future xP.

OK, this video is definitely a rip off of Lolligerjoj's video. He does claim he edited all the parts (not entirely convinced) but regardless, a lot of the syncing and motion changes are identical so it is practically stolen either way in my opinion. He also has another video uploaded on his channel ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R226gS4UYbQ ) where he does a similar thing.
